Transporting Propane Bottles

Whether you’re packing a propane stove to go camping or need to pick up more gas for the grill, follow these tips to safely transport propane in your vehicle.

1. Make sure the valve on the propane tank is closed tightly.

2. Place the propane cylinder on the floor in the back seat of the car and stand it in an upright position. If necessary, place some old towels or blankets around the tank so it won’t tip over.

3. Remove the tank as soon as you get home. Do not leave the tank sitting in a hot car.

From backup generators and tankless water heaters to convenient fills for your gas grill, Folger Gas helps keep your home feeling like, well ... home!

Folger Gas can help you make your home more comfortable and energy efficient. For example, many backup power generators can be converted to run on clean-burning propane — a much safer alternative to gasoline-fueled generators.

You can save up to 30 percent on your water heating bill by using propane water heaters, which heat much faster than electric water heaters. For even greater energy savings, try a tankless propane water heater, which are even more energy efficient because they heat your water only when you need it. Due to their compact size, tankless water heaters can be installed almost anywhere you need hot water (bathroom, garage, kitchen, etc).

Ask us about other household appliances that use gas, then make the switch from electricity and start saving money!
